EastEnders’ Jasmine Fisher’s lie about her police statement is dramatically revealed next week, as she once again hopes to run away from Walford. In this week’s scenes, Jasmine made a secret plan to leave Albert Square, desperate to keep hidden that she killed her dad Anthony Trueman on Christmas Day.

Max found out and tried to stop the teen taking Oscar away from his family, but when a confrontation unfolded, Jasmine lied and accused Max of trying to kiss her.

As Max protested his innocence, Oscar struggled to believe his dad – but Kat was left with doubts about her granddaughter, and she decided to keep a close eye on Jasmine’s movement after speaking to Jean.

In the aftermath of Max and Cindy’s meddling, as they teamed up to try and take Jasmine down, Oscar decided to put their travel plans on hold for now. But next week, Jasmine remains desperate to leave her newfound family behind and exit the Square.

However, manipulative Max discovers that Jasmine has been lying about making a statement to the police evidencing Chrissie’s involvement in Anthony’s murder. He uses the game-changing information to his advantage, and once again attempts to warn Jasmine away from his son.

“Max doesn’t approve of Jasmine and Oscar’s relationship at all – but he’s hardly one to talk!” points out our EastEnders source. “Like most of Walford, he thinks that she’s bad news.

“To him, her lying about helping her mum proves that, especially given his relationship history with Zoe…”

While searching for Jasmine in The Vic, Oscar leaves Kat reeling with shock when he unveils their plans to escape Walford together.

Incensed, Patrick points the finger at Kat, declaring that Jasmine has been driven away by the pressure she has put on her granddaughter to help free Zoe.

Later, Max slyly lets slip that he confronted Jasmine about her lie, making his son Oscar furious that his dad would keep him from the girl he loves.

As confused Kat sets out to find Jasmine and get the truth about her plans to leave the Square, will she discover that Jasmine has lied about helping the imprisoned Zoe?
