Detective Theo Walker Casually Revealed His Relationship Status on Law & Order

Season 25 of Law & Order just revealed a little bit more about the 27th Precinct’s newest member after an investigation brought the detectives into the dark underbelly of video games.

As Detective Theo Walker (David Ajala) settles in at his post, viewers have been eager to learn anything new about the passionate newcomer, who has kept his cards fairly close to his chest. Walker is confident and bold, but not very forthright, so watching him forge a bond with his partner, Detective Vincent Riley (Reid Scott), has been a gripping storyline as Season 25 continues. Law & Order’s “The Enemy of All Women” was an intense watch after a tech company employee was killed after she expressed intent to report an assault, and it led the detectives down an internet rabbit hole unlike any other.

Along the way, viewers learned a fun fact about the cool-headed Detective Walker: he’s a big fan of video games and whether or not he’s single.

Detective Theo Walker just revealed he’s single on Law & Order Season 25

After Natalie Wallis was shot and killed in her apartment, the 2-7 learned from a former fling that she used to be a video game designer who got hate online, so she had plenty of enemies. Walker asked if Natalie had received hate from Gamergate, a misogynistic online harassment campaign that targets prominent women in the industry. After learning Gamergaters had, in fact, gone after Natalie, Walker schooled a confused Riley about the “bro-types” who may be responsible for killing Natalie.

While appreciative of the lead, Riley couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at how well-versed his partner was on the subject of dark internet video game communities.

Walker shrugged, “I’m a single guy in his 30s, I play a lot of video games.”

With that, the matter was settled as the detectives took their findings back to the precinct, where they found a Reddit thread trolling female video game developers. Walker explained that they were staring at a bunch of incels, another term that Riley remained in the dark on. After bringing his buddy up to speed, Riley asked if Walker played with these people, but Walker shut that idea down quickly.

“I play solo,” Walker corrected him before moving forward with their investigation.

There you have it, folks: any Law & Order fans who can’t take their eyes off the 27th Precinct heartthrob are in luck, as he seems to be available. While the case of Theo Walker being single has been closed, whether or not he’s mingling is yet to be seen. It’s never easy to balance dating with the thrills of the Major Case Squad, which had Walker on his toes during Law & Order‘s January 22 episode.

Turns out, the many concerning Gamergaters turned out to be the red herring of Law & Order’s “The Enemy of All Women” after the detectives connected with Natalie’s trauma counselor, who informed them that Natalie had been recently assaulted and contracted an STD. Natalie intended to go to the police, but her rapist killed her before that could happen. This led the 2-7 to unveil the killer as Natalie’s employer, Marius Cole, the Marius Cole of a powerful tech and surveillance company.

Upon Cole’s arrest, he delivered a myriad of doctored surveillance footage as an “alibi” for the murder, leading to a courthouse circus and mind-boggling he-said-she-said after Cole tried to claim he and Natalie were romantically involved before her death.

But with no one to corroborate Natalie’s side of the story, the A.D.A.s were forced to look at the case from all angles, eventually revealing Cole to be a repeat offender. After surprising the defense with a last-minute rebuttal witness, the cowardly Cole accepted a plea deal to dodge a worse sentence. Thanks to Detectives Walker and Riley and the steadfast A.D.A.s, they ensured Cole would spend 20 years in prison.
