November 17-21 was an action-packed week on General Hospital, featuring everything from a mayoral election to a murder! If you missed any of the action, Soap Opera Digest has you covered with a full run-down of everything that happened with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Jason (Steve Burton), Laura (Genie Francis), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Trina (Tabyana Ali) and all the rest of your Port Charles favorites.

Law & Disorder

Acting as Rocco’s attorney, Ric made a plea deal with Justine on his nephew’s behalf. But before the arraignment, Dalton requested a private conference with Justine, and in court, everyone was shocked when she announced that the deal with Ric was off the table and that the charges against Rocco were being bumped up from a misdemeanor. The reason? Dalton had presented “evidence” that Rocco had damaged the lab, destroying proprietary information and vandalizing hazardous materials that could have caused loss of life on the campus. Rocco protested that he had done no such thing, but he was hauled off to jail nonetheless. Lulu, Dante, Laura and Sonny all believed that Rocco was being framed, and Sonny insisted to Justine that Dalton had set Rocco up. When Marco filled in Sidwell about what happened in court, his father was displeased that Dalton had brought unwanted attention to the goings-on at the lab.

Given the seriousness of the charges Rocco was now facing, Ric wanted Alexis to advise Danny and Charlotte to come forward about their role in the break-in to help Rocco’s case. To sweeten the deal, he offered to help her exonerate Willow by pointing to another suspect: Portia. Courtesy of Ric’s information, Alexis came to realize that Drew had been blackmailing Portia, giving her motive to shoot the congressman.

Britt beseeched Jason to encourage Danny to corroborate Rocco’s story to take some of the heat off Rocco. Desperate to help Rocco, Charlotte and Danny went to the PCPD and turned themselves in for their role in the break-in, but Nathan noted that their confession was inadmissible because they were minors, and their parents weren’t present. Nathan summoned Jason, Dante and Lulu to their kids’ side. Ric and Alexis joined them, and it was decided that Danny and Charlotte would come forward to corroborate Rocco’s story and prove that Dalton had lied.

At the Brown Dog, Josslyn got a drunken Dalton to admit to conducting illegal testing on animals in a secret second lab. Emma thanked Joss for her help, confident that Dalton would soon get what was coming to him.

Mom’s The Word

Willow told Alexis that at the time Drew was shot, she was sitting alone in her car, weeping over her separation from her children. She insisted that was not the shooter, but understood that her alibi was weak. After Nina pleaded with Chase to do whatever it took to clear Willow’s name, Chase went to Alexis to share his plans to discredit Michael by proving that Jacinda was with someone else — possibly Ezra, who was revealed to be a past client of Jacinda’s — on the night Drew was shot. She warned him that his efforts to prove that Willow didn’t pull the trigger could cost him his career.

Britt chided Emma for putting Rocco up to breaking into the lab, but her anger was nothing compared to Dante’s when Gio told Dante how he and Emma had teamed up with Gio to get the goods on Dalton. Brook Lynn tried to defuse things, but Dante went off on Gio anyway. Brook Lynn stuck close to the hospital, where Ned was recovering from his surgery, and during an emotional discussion with Gio, her son called Brook Lynn “mom” for the first time.

You Win Some, You Lose Some

After voting in the mayoral election, Laura encountered Dalton, who goaded her about Rocco’s arrest. Laura lost her temper and wound up slapping him in front of a bunch of other voters, and Laura worried her outburst might cost her the election. In the end, though, she won!

Michael introduced Sonny to Jacinda and delivered the good news to his dad that Measure C had not passed, meaning that Sonny would get to keep his piers.

At Wyndemere, Sidwell shot Dalton dead in front of a shaken Britt after she revealed to Sidwell that the professor had exposed their project to the authorities. Sidwell ordered Pascal to get rid of the body but noted that it still had value to them. Pascal warned Britt that if she confided in anyone about her secret work, there would be grave consequences.

Armed with the knowledge that the teens had used Britt’s fob to get into the lab, Jason pressed Britt for answers about her connection to Dalton. Britt was uncertain if she could trust him with information that could put her life on the line, but was about to fess up to him when Sonny called Jason away, and a defeated Britt broke down in tears.

When her car broke down, a horrified Laura opened her trunk and made a gruesome discovery: Dalton’s corpse! She called Sonny to the scene, and he summoned Jason to remove all traces of the dead body. Back in her office, Sonny cautioned Laura that someone was trying to make trouble for her. They discussed possible suspects and Laura arrived at the conclusion that Sidwell was responsible.

Lucas celebrated his move to Wyndemere over dinner with Marco and Ava at the Metro Court. By the time they returned to Spoon Island, Pascal had successfully cleaned up the crime scene, leaving Lucas blissfully unaware that his new housemate, Sidwell, had just committed a murder.
