EastEnders fans in stitches over Freddie Slater blunder ahead of BBC exit
EastEnders fans were left amused after they spotted a cheeky blunder in scenes ahead of Freddie Slater’s departure from the BBC soap.

EastEnders devotees have been left chuckling after spotting a gaffe involving Freddie Slater in an upcoming episode of the BBC soap.
On Tuesday (November 25), the latest EastEnders spoilers were released, revealing that Freddie, portrayed by Bobby Brazier, is set to bid farewell to Walford for good next week.
In 2022, Freddie made his dramatic entrance as the son of Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth), initially believing Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) to be his biological father.
Freddie quickly became a beloved addition to the long-standing Slater clan, but he faced turmoil upon learning that his biological father, Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney), had raped his mother, resulting in his birth.
Freddie was also diagnosed with ADHD, saved his second cousin, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), from her relentless stalker, Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), and found himself entangled in a love triangle with his best mate, Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford), reports OK!.
With a romantic nudge from Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), Freddie and Anna have finally decided to give their relationship another go and will depart Walford to embark on a travelling adventure together.
On Monday (December 1), the Slaters gear up to bid adieu to Freddie, but the festivities are marred as Lily (Lillia Turner) frets that Jean (Gillian Wright) is overexerting herself, while Kat (Jessie Wallace) attempts to soothe an increasingly unsettled Zoe.
Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) delivers a heartfelt speech about Freddie and Anna, but as the Square’s Christmas lights illuminate, a troubling message appears in The Vic’s window.
In a photograph unveiled prior to Monday’s episode, Freddie is pictured with his arm wrapped around Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and Anna as they gather in Albert Square.
The trio seem to be embracing the Christmas atmosphere whilst holding disposable cups. Yet Freddie’s cup appears to display the name “Bobby” – a reference to his actual name.
Sharp-eyed viewers have noticed the gaffe and flocked to social media to express their amusement. On X, one viewer questioned, “Does his cup say Bobby instead of Freddie? #EastEnders,” while another responded: “Another #eastenders fail.”
A third added: “lmao” whilst someone else quipped: “My in-universe explanation for this is Anna got Freddie a drink and accidentally told Marie to write ‘Bobby’ because she misses her little Beale #EastEnders.”
“The actor who plays Freddie is called Bobby Brazier, unless Marie was meant to write the character’s name and wrote his real name,” another pointed out.
Freddie and Anna say their final goodbyes to Walford on Tuesday, 2 December.
