EastEnders fans rumble Anthony Trueman is still alive in shock twist as exit ‘sealed’
EastEnders fans are convinced they’ve worked out that Anthony Trueman is still alive after Zoe Slater confessed to ‘killing’ the Walford icon
EastEnders fans have worked out that Anthony Trueman is still alive in a stunning turn of events. The BBC soap aired a huge twist this evening, which saw Anthony lying lifeless on the floor of the Queen Vic.
Despite Zoe Slater not knowing if she did kill him, she decided she needed to take the fall for what happened, fearing that her daughter Jasmine – who she recently reunited with – might have had a part in killing Anthony.

Not wanting anything bad to happen to anyone else, Zoe decided she had no choice but to call the police and admit what she’d done, leaving her to be taken away by the police, meaning it looks like an exit’s on the cards for Zoe.
However, fans are convinced that Anthony is still alive. One fan wrote: “I’m glad Anthony’s dead finally I wonder what’s gonna happen with chrissie jasmine and Zoe now,” as a second chimed in: “Oh is not dead. I’m calling it now. That guy is going to get backup.”
“Yep I agree because at first I thought maybe but then realised it made no sense fi him to be dead in the first part since more drama is to come in part 2 but I do hope he gets killed properly but not by Zoe,” a third added.

A fourth said: “Am i being stupid? what is Anthony doing on the floor? zoe was knocked out and he standing over her,” with a fifth adding: “The implication is that someone has come and killed him offscreen while Zoe was unconscious – Kat seems to think it was Zoe but obviously it likely was someone else, eg Jasmine.”
In a shock twist yesterday, it was revealed that Walford icon Chrissie Watts played by Tracy-Ann Oberman had been the person tormenting Zoe. She said of her shock return: “[Executive producer] Ben and I were keen to keep Chrissie’s return a complete secret, so I’m delighted my return was kept under wraps.
“I think that Chrissie has always felt that’s it’s very unfair she spent 20 years in prison and has never really been able to move on from the trauma of Dirty Den and living in Walford. When the opportunity came up to have something over Zoe Slater, who she has always found to be an irritating little girl, she jumped at the opportunity. She clearly has time on her hands!
“Also, Chrissie, whilst being very hard and tough, has a strong sense of justice, and in her mind, Zoe never really paid for Den’s murder, and the part she played in destroying the Watts family. What started off as a game for Chrissie, has ended up becoming a little bit of an obsession, and finding this gorgeous daughter, who was also hurt by Zoe, seemed like too good of an opportunity to miss.”
She added: “I do think she is genuinely very fond of Jasmine. She’s like the daughter she never had, and I think she wants to empower Jasmine to get revenge on the woman who abandoned her. Chrissie thinks Zoe needs to take responsibility, that’s her motivation.”
Chrissie returned last year in a storyline with Sharon Watts. She added: “I enjoyed my return storyline with Sharon [Letitia Dean] last year so much that when Ben Wadey asked me to pop back for Christmas Day, how could I say no? Chrissie is in my DNA; she is such a great character, so, I love the idea of her returning at Christmas to create havoc.”
