That plan obviously didn’t work out with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) since her heart still belongs to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), so now Carter has latched onto Daphne as his new future.

Carter is hoping to lock things in with Daphne, but she’s making him prove he’s worthy of her first.

Daphne needs to build some trust before she can make a major commitment to Carter, but he may get the wrong idea about what she wants.

In Carter’s mind, he may think dropping to one knee with an engagement ring is the way to prove he’s all in.

Carter might try to race Daphne to the altar and turn her into his insta-bride, but that may not be what she has in mind.

If Carter proposes to Daphne too soon, it could backfire big time.

Instead of showing Daphne that she’s the only woman for him, Carter may make it seem like he’s just desperate for a fiancée in general.

On the other hand, it’s possible Daphne will get swept up in Carter’s promises and whatever bling he brings to the table.

If Carter convinces Daphne to say yes, their engagement news could backfire in other ways by leading to marriage before they’re ready.

Whatever the case, Carter doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to building relationships that are meant to last.
