A new sneak peek at FBI Season 8’s back-to-back holiday episodes teases a seemingly straightforward case with a bizarre twist for the team

Ryan O’Rourke is a Senior News Writer at Collider with a specific interest in all things adult animation, video game adaptations, and the work of Mike Flanagan. He is also an experienced baseball writer with over six years of articles between multiple outlets, most notably FanSided’s CubbiesCrib. Whether it’s taking in a baseball game, a new season of Futurama or Castlevania: Nocturne, or playing the latest From Software title, he is always finding ways to show his fandom. When it comes to gaming and anything that takes inspiration from it, he is deeply opinionated on what’s going on. Outside of entertainment, he’s a graduate of Eureka College with a Bachelor’s in Communication where he honed his craft as a writer. Between The IV Leader at Illinois Valley Community College and The Pegasus at Eureka, he spent the majority of his college career publishing articles on everything from politics to campus happenings and, of course, entertainment for the student body. Those principles he learned covering the 2020 election, Palestine, and so much more are brought here to Collider, where he has gleefully written on everything from the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes to Nathan Lane baby-birding sewer boys.
The footage opens on a briefing led by Castille (Alana De La Garza) in front of the entire team, addressing the case at hand. With a little assistance from Jubal (Jeremy Sisto), she unravels the tangled web of a murderer who seemingly used sex workers to seduce and steal from multiple victims before killing all three of them and taking the ill-gotten gains for himself. Such a scheme necessitates a search of all five boroughs of New York to find the culprit before any more women can be used and any other citizens can be robbed. While Jubal and Castille start casting the net, Maggie (Missy Peregrym) and OA (Zeeko Zaki) start interviewing the men who were drugged by the workers, each of whom paints a similar picture of one of the three women flirting with them before slipping something into their drinks. The curious part, however, is that they weren’t stealing cash, but a laptop, a work lanyard, and keys, signaling that whoever is behind the scheme may be seeking something far more valuable and sensitive.![New 'FBI' Season 8 Holiday Special Sneak Peek Sees a Festive Case Take a Baffling Turn in Midseason Finale [Exclusive]](https://static0.colliderimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/fbi-season-8-episode-9-jeremy-sisto.jpg?w=1200&h=675&fit=crop)
What Else Can Viewers Expect From the ‘FBI’ Two-Part Holiday Special?
If that weren’t enough stress for FBI in one week, Jubal will also have another reason to worry about his son, Tyler (Caleb Reese Paul). During the investigation, the veteran agent will get a concerning call from Tyler that will pull at least some of his attention away from the case. Their father-son dynamic was spotlighted last season when Jubal bent the rules to help his son out of custody at the potential expense of his career. Now, Tyler may be in even more trouble, and their relationship could be put to the test once again. Whatever the case, it looks to be an explosive midseason finale on both a personal and professional level for the whole team.
