EastEnders’ Jean delivers shock Jasmine ultimatum in early iPlayer release

EastEnders’ Jean Slater has delivered a shocking ultimatum about Jasmine Fisher, as her mental health continues to decline. Jean is convinced that Jasmine is responsible for Anthony’s death, and she is determined to crack the case – but her loved ones have grown increasingly worried about her.

With Kat away, Jasmine started to settle into living and working in The Vic in today’s episode, and Alfie helped her to rekindle her relationship with Oscar.

Meanwhile, Jean remained holed up in her room, watching a worrying video of a man preaching about the devil and forces of evil, but she hid this content from a concerned Eve.

Yolande approached Alfie and told him about Jean’s visit, making it clear that she didn’t want her to come round again while Patrick is grieving Anthony.

Alfie tried to reason with Jean, telling her that her bipolar disorder is putting these thoughts in her head, but Jean insisted that there are “greater forces at play” and that there is evil within Jasmine.

The situation got even worse when Sam called round to No.31 to spend some time with her granddaughter Charli. Jean approached and theorised that Jasmine had sent Sam to take Charli, another member of her family, away from her.

Eve managed to calm Jean down and promised to keep an eye on her. But Jean continued watching the dangerous content online, and when Eve later checked on her, she had disappeared.

Jean snuck out and headed to The Vic, where she crept up on Jasmine as she was getting ready for bed. She called Jasmine an imposter, blaming her for the likes of Stacey and Freddie leaving Walford and for Anthony dying.

As her confrontation suddenly escalated, Oscar and Alfie stepped in to help Jasmine – and Jean broke down in tears.

Eve arrived to take Jean home, planning to stay with her for the night, but Jean told her and Alfie that she wouldn’t be sticking around.

“We can’t sort it out tomorrow, because tomorrow I won’t be here,” Jean declared. “You have to choose between the darkness and the light. Either Jasmine leaves Walford, or I do.”

Will Jean’s loved ones ever get through to her, and will she leave Albert Square?
