The Forrester family will welcome back one of their own when the character of RJ returns to Bold and Beautiful. As recently reported, the role has been recast with daytime newcomer Brayan Nicoletti, and as he’s about to make his debut the week of January 12, we’re sharing a first look at the new RJ!

Welcome Home

The son of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Ridge Forrester Jr. was born back in 2004 and soon nicknamed RJ. As a child, the role was played by Jack Horan and Mace Coronel before RJ was aged into a teen and recast with Anthony Turpel in 2016. His run came to an end in 2018, and B&B didn’t bring RJ back onto the canvas until 2023, with Joshua Hoffman stepping into the role. He was last seen on screen in October 2024.

The last time RJ came home to Los Angeles in 2023, he’d been traveling the globe as a social media influencer, and resisted his father’s attempts to join the family business as a designer. However, when his grandfather, Eric (John McCook), wanted to create a final collection but was unable to draw due to his degenerative illness, RJ stepped in to help.

During this time, RJ also fell hard for new Forrester intern Luna (Lisa Yamada) and found himself competing with his cousin, Zende (Delon De Metz), for her affection. He was heartbroken when Luna slept with Zende while under the influence of her mother’s special mints, but things got even worse when it turned out that Luna was a psycho who had lied about the drugs and slept with Zende on purpose. Worse, she also murdered Tom Starr (Clint Howard) and Paul Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) and attempted to kill Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)!

RJ was last seen in October 2024 when the Forresters all gathered together in the office for a special meeting where Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) urged them not to cancel the Hope for the Future line. However, during Luna’s second reign of terror in 2025, when she again tried to murder Steffy, was shot and presumed dead, returned and raped Will (Crew Morrow), then died again after being hit by a car, RJ was nowhere to be seen.

When RJ returns and reunites with his parents and the rest of his family, viewers will finally learn where the guy disappeared to back in 2024. And he’ll also find himself thrown into a dramatic new storyline as B&B Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell has promised that in the coming year, “we will have another Spencer/Forrester rivalry with Will and RJ.”
