Season 25’s “The Enemy of All Women” was jam-packed with powerhouse performances as the fearless 2-7 tackled a mind-boggling homicide that was eventually revealed to be a sinister cover-up. Along the way, the detectives encountered plenty of suspects and informative witnesses, each promising a sprinkle of progress within their investigation and leading viewers on a twisty watch.

The tragic victim at the center of “The Enemy of All Women” was Natalie Wallis, played by primetime newcomer Katie Croyle. Natalie was an employee of a surveillance tech company who was horrifically assaulted by her CEO and later killed after he learned she intended to report the crime.

Virginia Kull as Vanessa Barret

Kull played Vanessa Barret, one of Natalie’s closest friends and a former employee of Cole’s who connected with the 2-7 at the top of the investigation. Vanessa later became the star witness of the trial after the A.D.A.s realized Cole likely had former victims, soon learning that Vanessa signed a silencing NDA after Cole assaulted her in the past. Calling Vanessa to the stand was enough to secure a plea deal and justice served.

Many know Kull from her breakout role on Boardwalk Empire as well as her recurring roles in hit series like The FollowingGracepointBig Little Lies, and The Looming Tower mini series. Some of Kull’s recent projects include Percy Jackson and the OlympiansPresumed Innocent, and Super Pumped. Fun fact: this wasn’t Kull’s first time in the precinct: she also previously appeared in a Season 12 episode of Law & Order: SVU (“Reparations”).

Mathias Goldstein as Sean Morris

Goldstein guest stars as Sean Morris, a trauma counselor whom Natalie confided in during her last week alive. The 2-7 learned from Sean that Natalie had been assaulted and was planning on reporting the incident before she was killed. While Sean didn’t know who the culprit was, this testimony gave the detectives the lead they needed to find the real perp: Natalie’s boss, tech CEO Marius Cole. Some of Goldstein’s other projects include The Pale Blue EyeFBI: Most Wanted, and Le Parrot.

Ennis Esmer as Marius Cole

Esmer guest stars on Law & Order as Marius Cole, the nefarious monster responsible for assaulting several employees, doctoring and abusing surveillance footage, and killing Natalie in an effort to cover it all up. Fortunately for the squad, Cole would go on to serve 20 years in prison after accepting a plea deal.

Esmer boasts a multi-decade career with many iconic characters across television series like Billable HoursThe ListenerDark MatterRed Oaks, and Blindspot. Elizabeth Marvel as Defense Attorney Rita Calhoun

Appearing across seven seasons and representing over a dozen action-packed cases as a defense attorney on Law & Order: SVU, Calhoun is well-known as one of the most formidable foes in the courtroom. She made her way to the Manhattan courts to give the 27th Precinct a run for their money while representing the high-powered Marius Cole in Season 25’s “Enemy of All Women.”

Calhoun was cut-throat as always after Elizabeth Marvel delivered another grand-slam guest appearance. Some of Marvel’s other iconic television credits include The DistrictHouse of CardsHomelandFargo, and Unbelievable.
