EastEnders fans finally ‘work out’ who’s Zoe Slater’s stalker as they slam ‘creepy’ character
EastEnders fans are saying that they’ve finally ‘worked out’ just who is Zoe Slater’s stalker as they slammed a ‘creepy’ character on the BBC soap.
Heading into the week, it looked certain that Zoe’s relative Jean Slater was the one stalking her for over a month now. Zoe has been convinced someone is out to get her as a result of threatening messages being left for her.
While it’s unrelated to what’s happening now, Michelle Ryan’s character has been on edge since she was accidentally shot by Ravi Gulati and Jack Branning. As medics worked to save her life, it was revealed that Zoe gave birth to a son and a daughter in 2006, but assumed her daughter died while giving birth.
Seeking to turn her life around, Zoe has been involved with a number of shady characters, including several private investigators claiming to have knowledge on her son’s whereabouts.
Jean is top of the suspects list due to her thanking Kat and Alfie Moon for finding her earring, which Zoe said was left behind by the stalker. Denying Kat’s implication that she’s been targeting Zoe, Jean had a furious outburst in the Vic about the claims.
With Kat and Alfie insisting Jean isn’t her tormentor, Zoe berated them for letting her pull the wool over their eyes in what looks set to be a war of the Slaters.

In scenes aired on Wednesday evening (November 26), Kat and Alfie were being driven mad by calls from a mystery number on their mobiles and landlines. Zoe remained convinced she knew it was Jean.
A second showdown occurred between the pair during another Queen Vic quiz night, where Jean claimed Zoe inspired Freddie Slater to leave her to go travelling with Anna Knight. Despite Jean being unreasonable, Alfie and Kat took her side.

Frustrated that no one believes her in spite of most of her claims being proved right, Zoe went to Anthony Trueman’s house, who she was engaged to in the 2000s. With Anthony, who previously suggested Zoe was having a breakdown, offering her a glass of wine, it was revealed to viewers that he had a slideshow of photos of her on his computer.
To add to the drama, Anthony and Zoe headed upstairs to his bedroom, but is he responsible for all of the chaos or is he unlucky in love?
Following the episode, EastEnders fans rushed to X, previously known as Twitter to have their say on what they make of Anthoiny’s true intentions.

@noraxswynonna said: “Always thought Anthony was Zoe’s stalker. The amount of times he specifically used “psychotic break”. I think he took Jeans earring from the house when he went to help Charli to plant it at the vic knowing Jean doesnt like her so Zoe would believe it was her #eastenders.” @crxspxna added: “Why did they bring back Anthony just to be creepy? #EastEnders.”
@tvthings_2 wrote: “Maybe Anthony and Sam are together and stalking Zoe #EASTENDERS.” @RyanSoapKing25 posted: “I don’t think it’s that obvious – we know Sam Mitchell is returning soon so is she also involved somehow. Maybe Sam has Anthony over a barrel that is why he is targeting Zoe and making her family believe that Zoe is mentally unstable. #EastEnders.”
@xosassysarahxo commented: “I guess Anthony’s finally become the weirdo he always appeared to be but never quite strayed into that territory until now. Has to be Zoe’s stalker/harasser surely? Second guess is Lily. #EastEnders.” @geordiegalg noted: “They seriously brought Anthony back to turn him into some creepy stalker?! #EastEnders.”
