Cindy was released and spent 25 years in police protection and faked her death. She started a new life under the name Rose Knight, before returning to Walford in June 2023.

In the present day, Cindy confided in her ex-love rival, Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), about her concerns with Jasmine.

In a surprise scene, Elaine and Cindy bonded in The Vic over the teen’s mystery before Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) interrupted their conversation to reveal Jasmine’s words after he ran her over were: “She needs to pay for what she did.”
