EastEnders to revisit forgotten Howie storyline amid new family crisis
EastEnders is set to revisit a forgotten Howie Danes storyline amid a new family crisis. It comes after the character fell into criminality earlier this year.
Viewers may also remember that Howie and Patrick Trueman placed a bet on a horse over the summer after Kim Fox suggested Howie wasn’t as good a provider as her ex Vincent, and the pair unexpectedly won £6,000.
However, the money was stolen a few days later when Oscar Branning broke in and brutally attacked Patrick. Howie then worked out Oscar was behind the attack, opting to avoid telling the police on the condition that he and Lauren give him the money.
While initially unsuccessful in his blackmail attempts, he managed to eventually get his hands on the money. Yet Howie has been anxious that Oscar could reveal his secret at any moment, and has been committing further crimes to get some quick cash.
He later got a job delivering parcels to earn extra money after Kim ran over her computer and filming kit amid her influencer career, though Howie was seen stealing an expensive gold necklace he found in one of the packages.

In new scenes set to air next week, Elaine Peacock enlists the help of Kim and her influencer brand to try to generate publicity for the Peacock Palace.
However, Kim accidentally makes some harsh remarks about her followers during a livestream, leading her to lose many followers. As such, Howie is driven to try to save the family’s finances.
What does he have up his sleeve?

It comes ahead of “a life-changing decision” for Howie in upcoming episodes this December, though it is currently unclear what that is.
Could he be about to come clean about his crimes, or will he spiral further?
