General Hospital spoilers reveal Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has agreed to marry Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) again, and few can make sense of why she would do such.

The last time Willow walked down the aisle to become Drew’s wife, she had just learned her fiancé had engaged in an affair with her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Shortly after that, Willow managed to find it in her heart to forgive Drew and move on. Everyone who cared about her was stunned, just as they are right now that she has accepted his swift proposal.

But just after Drew’s shooting, Willow confided in Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that she was going back to Drew because he had the power to help her get her kids back, not because she loved him.

If that’s still the case, we are left wondering if she sees more than one avenue to making that happen as long as she’s with him.

General Hospital Spoilers — A Congressman’s Custody War

Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) may not be Drew’s kids, but he speaks of the custody battle as a war he is willing to wage for Willow, almost on her behalf.

That may be comforting to her given how little resources she has to make this happen on her own.

Affording a powerhouse attorney probably won’t happen easily on a nurse’s salary, but Drew has more money than she knows what to do with and she trusts he can possibly pull strings in his role as a Congressman to help her get her babies back.

GH Spoilers Say Willow May Not Be All That Innocent

It is absolutely possible that Willow is the person who shot Drew. It’s even possible that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) knows it, having been there to witness it himself. Maybe he’s confident about Willow trying to kill his uncle because he saw it with his own eyes.

If that’s the case, and if Willow isn’t completely out to lunch and remembers it, then it would benefit her to stay close to Drew and the PCPD’s case on who shot him. It would make more sense to paint herself as the girlfriend, fiancé, or wife, than as the ex of any of those things.

General Hospital Spoilers — Money Talks

Willow knows that most of Drew’s power lies with the fact that he can pay off judges and sway jurors with his bank account.

But that money isn’t within her reach until she is Mrs. Drew Cain. So marrying him could be a means to dip into his wealth so that she can really go toe to toe with Michael’s high-priced attorney and have a fairer fight for custody.

Otherwise, she’s not likely to ever get a fair shake on visitation, much less anything else. Is it possible that Willow is choosing the lesser of evils that will benefit her more in the long run if she sucks it up now?
