In an exclusive clip from the second part of Maurice Benard’s State of Mind podcast episode with General Hospital co-star Genie Francis, the actress reveals whether she would do another Hallmark movie.

From Port Charles to Hallmark Channel

The first half of Benard’s (Sonny) interview with Francis (Laura) found major success, even reaching GH legend Anthony Geary (Luke) all the way at his home in Amsterdam. Now, ahead of the second part of the interview airing November 23, this exclusive clip touches on Francis’ time on Hallmark Channel.

From 2007-2012, Francis starred in a trilogy of Hallmark movies; The Note, The Note II: Taking a Chance on Love, and Notes from the Heart Healer. Several soap stars make the jump to Hallmark romcoms, and when Benard asked Francis the fan-submitted question about whether she would ever do another, her answer was simple.

“I would love to do another Hallmark movie,” she revealed, adding she would be up for another installment of The Note, or something new.

Sitting hand-in-hand with her husband, actor and director Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek fame, she called working with Hallmark an “absolutely delightful experience ” before remembering Frakes also starred in one of their films.

Frakes confirmed he did do a Hallmark movie, then offered a bit of Hallmark Channel trivia for Benard and the viewers, revealing the channel makes 66 Christmas movies a year.

Many fellow GH stars have appeared in Hallmark Christmas movies, including Cameron Mathison (Drew), Ryan Paevey (Nathan) Carolyn Hennesy (Diane), and Ellen Travolta (Gloria).
