What to Expect on The Bold and the Beautiful

Christmas Eve puts Eric back where he believes he belongs — at the center of his family — while one couple finally crosses a romantic line that’s been a long time coming.

Christmas Eve arrives in Los Angeles as the Forresters prepare to celebrate the holiday. On Tuesday’s all-new episode, Eric (John McCook) struggled with his new reality as a retired designer, secretly planning a surprise for his family that will shock everyone. He hoped to reveal a new design, one that he believed to be his greatest year. While he initially was apprehensive about hosting his family for the holiday, he eventually came around to the idea after a conversation with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye).

The Christmas Eve edition of the soap will feature Ridge giving Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) a very special present. The gift could be anything when it comes to the poster children for destiny, but it would be best for Brooke if it weren’t a digital photo frame. That’s one gift Brooke historically hasn’t had good luck with. After spending a significant amount of time apart, they are finally fully in love again and remarried, so it’s most likely a symbol of their love and a testament to how much they’ve overcome to be together.

Ultimately, Eric is set to host the holiday soirée for his family as the Forresters celebrate the holidays in Forrester Family traditions. It wouldn’t be the holiday season without it culminating in the family fathering around the piano as Eric leads his family into song, the unshakeable patriarch. It’s been a rough year for the Forresters, and with that has come a great deal of change and new beginnings, but one thing remains: Eric is the face of the family.

One couple makes progress

Ever since ending his engagement to Hope (Annika Noelle), Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) has been desperately trying to pursue a romantic connection with Daphne (Murielle Hilaire). She was previously receptive to the idea, but after coming second to Hope, she’s committed to making him work for her affection. The romance has been slow-burning – sometimes too slow, with no forward progress. Gushing over the fragrance developer while she performs karaoke at Il Giardino isn’t enough to keep the spark alive.

However, Christmas provides the moment that finally pushes this pairing forward. On Wednesday’s new episode, Daphne and Carter share a kiss under the mistletoe. The holidays have a way of making people feel sentimental, and with those feelings comes new beginnings. Daphne and Carter have circled each other for months, and this kiss may finally force them to decide whether their connection is real or just convenient.

Hope moved in in record time with Liam (Scott Clifton) and reunited their family. Carter has been chasing a wife for years now, and it might be time to add Daphne’s name to his long list of engagements. He’s successful in business but far less fortunate in love, and this kiss could finally change that pattern.
